VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

The SCNetwork has continued to thrive for 35 years largely because of the strong commitment and expertise of our volunteers.Edmond Melina joined the organization in 2002 after becoming his own boss and wanted to learn more about the HR side of the business. He attended his first breakfast event and his expectations were immediately surpassed.“I really liked the presentation and I enjoyed the people. They were inclusive - it was a great atmosphere. Sometimes it takes me time to get comfortable in new groups, so I was pleasantly surprised. It was like a beloved pair of sneakers”, says Edmond.

Edmond is strong supporter and a driver of change related to people, culture and getting people involved. He has used his talents and given of his time over the past 14 years in various capacities, including: Strategic Planning, Programming, Media Relations, the Toronto Leadership Team, Academia Meets Corporate Canada and the National Board of Directors. In addition, his company ORCHANGO is an annual corporate sponsor.

On behalf of the membership, we’d like to thank Edmond for his time and dedication. If you would like to volunteer for the organization, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Mireille Landry. Direct: 905 621 0993 Email: mireillelandry9@icloud.com
