There is no doubt organizations are moving towards increased mobile, flexible and remote work due to increased real-estate costs, draining commute times, engagement and retention of talent, and increased globalization of business. Leading from a distance is becoming a key skillset for today’s managers, as the future of work is now.
In the wake of remote working reversals by Yahoo and IBM, Dr. Laura Hambley will explain that effectively managing remote teams is scientifically related to certain leadership skills, attributes, and capabilities. Leveraging 15 years of Industrial/Organizational psychology research, participants take a mini distributed leadership assessment and engage in a collaborative discussion.
Drawing upon recent real-world case studies, participants will explore and discuss communication and collaboration strategies for leading from a distance.
